Gran's visit

A couple weeks ago we had a false alarm and thought baby boy was coming so we called up Gran and had her come out to watch Jo. While he ended up not coming after all, we had lots of fun playing with Gran for a few days and Jo was very sad when she left. Here are a few cute pictures of them.

Jo loved playing with Gran's hair (and I don't think Gran minded to much either!)

Josalyn loves singing ALL the time, so she was very happy when Gran taught her a new song about birds, especially since it had hand motions to go with it. She isn't to happy that I can't do it with her cause I don't know it. I guess I will have to learn it this next week when Gran is out again.

Thank you mom for being so amazing!

This last week Jo and Loralyn went out to Katy to visit Mandi, Sam, ad Marie. We had lots of fun, and Jo was very excited to play with her cousins for once. We have been able to talk to and see them through skype over the past year or so which made it so Jo knew who they were, but it hasn't been the same as playing with them. They had lots of fun, although I think Jo was a little possessive of Gran and all the toys/books that she is used to having to herself out there. I am pretty sure Gran enjoyed the possessiveness of her, since it got Jo to sit with her more. (heaven forbid Sam get to sit on Grans lap by himself!)

Sam and Jo had fun playing together, but Marie wanted in on the game too, so it didn't last as long as it could have. It was fun to see them playing together and interacting!

We brought down our old dishes and play food, which the kids loved, so they had a little tea party, for lack of a better term.

Playing in the springy ball thing.

We had our ultrasound Tuesday, and found out we are having a boy. (For his sake, we will refrain from putting up the picture showing this. ) Here are the other two pictures they gave us. You can see his face, arm, and torso in the top one, and in the second you see his face with his little fist by his head, and the top of his torso. They are both basically the same thing, but it's still fun.
He was a little big so the ultrasound lady said according to that his due date would be on the 4th, but it's not a big enough change to actually move the date.
Jo absolutely LOVED seeing the baby in the ultrasound and kept saying " that's the baby, it's so cute!!!" and " It's so tiny mommy!" and other things like that. After Josh left and we were waiting for the appointment with the doctor she got hold of the pictures and, while carrying them around ever so carefully, kept telling all the other ladies who were waiting that they were pictures of HER baby. She was so excited. Hopefully she will continue to feel that way after he comes.

Dancing and More

Josalyn loves to show off her new dress, and Dad likes that it was on sale.

You can't eat it all just because your pregnant mom! Share mommy.

Have you ever been caught on camera when you were really sleepy?

Don't you just love Michael Buble?!

Josalyn loves to dance and is always wanting music of some kind. She also wants everyone to dance with her. Maybe one day she will teach me how to dance, and hopefully she won't be too embarrassed to dance with me when she is older.

"I love you Mommy....no wait, Daddy!"

Last night Josalyn decided that she only loved daddy, and no matter how hard we tried to get her to say "I love Mommy" she would only say " I love Daddy" We decided to get a video of it and at the end of the video she finally gave in.

Veggie Tales Silly Songs by Jo

Jo loves Veggie Tales, and likes to go around singing bits of one or two songs, but this past weekend she has really gotten into it. Here is a video of her singing little bits of a few of them. I believe t starts with their theme song (for those of you who know the songs) then "The Belly Button Song", followed by "Stand Up", and I believe it ends with The "Biscuit of Zazzamarandabo". And of course as soon as she decided the video should be over she wanted to watch it, that's what she is wanting to see right at the very end.

My Curly Cue Sue!

So, Jo has super curly hair, but she loves to play with my curlers and is always wanting me to put them in her hair. It's kinda funny, because it actually makes her hair more straight after wearing them for only a minute. Normally she only lets me put one or two in and then pulls them out fairly quick, but this particular day we had ALL her hair in curlers and she kept them in for quite a while. She would get upset at the mere thought of taking them out.
