Outside fun, and other craziness

Sorry guys, this one is a little long. : )

Jo saw Josh doing pull ups on the stairs one day, and decided she was going to join him and do the same thing. She didn't quite make it, but in the process discovered she could hang on and swing. The video of her swinging is at the bottom of the blog, but here are a few still images of her in action.

Josh and Jo doing synchronized swinging

That really doesn't look comfortable

We go biking pretty much every day as of late, sometimes twice a day. We go at least midday because we discovered it is an easy way to get Jo to sleep for her nap. (as seen in the first picture- and yes I do realize it will be hard later on when we can't just hop on a bike and go for a ride like in the winter, but we don't do it everyday just most of the time) the elementary has a toddler/pre-k age group play ground in one part so we sometimes go over there to play. they have some fun toys. One of Jo's favorites is a teeter-totter with four seats that work individually
so you don't need anyone else to do it. Jo loves to get on and bounce by herself or with us.

Jo decided on this ride home that she didn't want to wear her hat any more, so Josh decided he would instead. We got a few weird looks from people but Josh thought it was great. I just think it's sad he was able to get it on his head, since it's a toddler hat.

Towering over the earth. It's Ginormica as a toddler!

Bouncing on the bouncer.

Jo loves to play in the water, whether it be washing her hands, getting a bath, or swimming
in a pool. The next few pictures are of her swimming in her kiddie pool, and having a great time. She is, of course a big ham when the camera comes out so you get to see some of that too.

This pic is from one morning when she woke up and immediately wanted to read a book, as usual, and I told her she needed to get dressed first so she went and put her swimsuit on all by herself, and then proceeded to read her book. : )

Giving me "the look"

Making a funny face.

Kicking back in her pool

Jo discovered about a month ago that she could climb ALL the way onto the top of her shelf thing, and likes to do so frequently. We used to put things up there we didn't necessarily want her to get (like her plug) so she likes to go searching for things she thinks are there.

Here she is sitting on top relaxing.
Here is her swinging video!

Playing dress up

Josalyn loves to dress herself , and it usually has very
interesting out comes. It keeps life interesting and fun
though, so I can't complain about having a boring life.

Here she is with her potty bowl on he head.
At this point it hadn't been used so it's not
as gross as you might think.

Jo hugging the harp.

I put a headband with a bow on her head and she went and
laid down and wanted me to take her picture. It's kinda funny,
cause with the lighting from the window it looks sort of like a glamour shot.

trying on her boots, they are still a little big,
but she has successfully done her irish jig
dance in them a few times. I think we have
a video of that too.

Wearing her "sock puppies" blanket and
the shade thing from her doll stroller.

Her hair is long enough now that as long as
we get it in the right spot we can put a bow in her hair!

It's still easier sometimes to just use the headbands.

Weekends at the Jones'

We have gone out to my parents' house several
times the past few months on the weekends.
This post is just random pictures from those visits.

We went to Home Depot to get a few things for the
bathroom, and Jo saw this and wanted to try it out!

She started to enjoy spending time with grandma
more on this particular trip, YEA!

Looking through the magnifying glass.

She discovered sock puppets on this trip, I
will try to put up a video. It's really funny,
when they talk all they say is nanananana.
playing the piano!

Trip to Sea World

We got back from Utah Thursday evening, and Friday Josh came to pick us up and take us to San Antonio, where we spent the weekend with his family. It was a really cool experience, and we had a great time.

We went and saw the clydesdales at the end of the day, and this one licked Josalyn's face

Cool Jellyfish

Jo crashed out towards the end

This penguin lost it's head

Jo loved watching the seals swimming around, here she is waving to one of them.

Seal.

Jo and R. Dee playing at the kids water place

Here we are feeding the Dolphins, I am petting one here! Slimy.

Jo and R. Dee sitting in a drawer at the Hotel.

We went swimming Friday night, it was very cold. This is
R. Dee flying through the air.

none of us really wanted to get in, except R. Dee. Brrrr!

This was just after watching the Seal show, it was
pretty funny, the dolphin one was really awesome too,
but I didn't get any pics from that one.

I was able to go on a kiddie ride, they are worse than you
might think.
Shamu show, I wanted to get wet and they promised that
if you sat in the splash zone you would get soaked, not just wet.
We sat in the 9th or 10th row (only halfway up the splash zone)
and I didn't get a single drop. It was sad. The show was cool though.
Waiting for Shamu.

walking around, it was a pretty hot day.

Trip to Utah

So after going to Colorado, we hopped over to Utah. There we visited wth lots of family and went to Seths' graduation! The pictures are backwards chronalogically, but I can do more updates if I don't fix them, sorry.

Here is Jo goofing of on the porch dad made for grandma.

Here is Mom, Grandma, and Dad-also on the porch.

Here is Jo in my heels.

"I looked out the window and what did I see?...
Popcorn popping on Grandmas' apricot tree!"
Jo with the tree, it was so pretty.

Jo and Grandma chillin' on Sunday after church.
Four generation picture, I was always jealous of Donnette
because she had one of these from when she was a baby.

Jo smelling the flowers after Seths' commencement thing.

Seth and Brette. They are so cute!!!!

Jo on the rock. (thinking rock-sitting rock something like that)
